Andreas Witt is a Digital Humanist. He heads the Department ‘Digital Linguistics’ at the Leibniz Institute for the German Language and is full professor of Computational Linguistics and Text Technology at the University of Mannheim. In addition, from 2019 to 2022, he was a member of the Board of Directors of the European Research Infrastructure Consortium CLARIN. From 2017 to 2019 he was Director of the newly founded Institute for Digital Humanities at University of Cologne.
