Jeremy Land is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Helsinki as part of the Economic and Social History unit in the Faculty of Social Sciences. Generally. He works on early American trade, smuggling, and its connections to the global economy in the 18th and early 19th centuries. He is currently working with colleagues to go back to the basics and to the sources with regard to digital history and its utility for researchers of broad disciplinary backgrounds.
