Laura Niewöhner is Research Assistant at the Collaborative Research Centre 1288 „Practices of Comparing“ and belongs to the project “INF | Datainfrastructure and Digital Humanities.” She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in History and Sociology and Master’s Degree in History at Bielefeld University. In her dissertation she focuses on emotions in US-American/ German denazification trials with the help of approaches of sentiment analysis. Moreover, she takes care over CRC’s study groups “AG text mining” and “AG Annotieren” where scholars examine and explore the use of digital methods to do research on practices of comparing. She is member of the ZiF Cooperation Group “Normalizing the Far Right.”
